Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has spoken out against the quality of public discourse surrounding education, particularly on social media platforms. He observed that these online debates, often involving current and former high-ranking education officials, frequently devolve into emotional displays rather than productive dialogue.

"Instead of civilized dialogue, we are forced to listen to emotional outbursts and boasting," President Tokayev stated, adding that even the teaching community struggles to discern the core issues within these heated exchanges. He emphasized that while caring for children's futures and proposing constructive solutions is essential, some individuals appear to prioritize personal popularity over genuine empathy.
