Tom Cruise's daughter Suri drops father's surname, reportedly now Suri Noelle

Suri Cruise, the only child of actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, has reportedly severed all ties with her father by dropping his famous surname. According to U.S. media reports, the 18-year-old, born in 2006, is now known as Suri Noelle, adopting her mother's middle name.

Sources suggest that Cruise has been absent from his daughter's life since his 2012 divorce from Holmes. The actress reportedly stated that Suri has not inherited any money from a trust fund set up by her father. Suri grew up in New York with Holmes but chose Pittsburgh for her university studies, enrolling in the School of Drama at Carnegie Mellon University to pursue musical theater.

This move by Suri follows a trend among children of high-profile celebrities. Recently, some of Brad Pitt's children, including Shiloh, Zahara, Maddox, and Vivienne, have reportedly initiated legal procedures to adopt their mother Angelina Jolie's surname. These actions highlight a growing desire among some celebrity offspring to establish their own identities separate from their famous parents.
