Top 14: Toulouse officially signs Italian center Tommaso Menoncello until 2029

Stade Toulousain, the French rugby club, has secured a significant transfer coup by officially signing Italian international center Tommaso Menoncello until 2029. The 23-year-old joins from Italian club Treviso, where he played 74 matches and scored 23 tries.

Menoncello, who has 39 caps for Italy, was recognized as the best player of the 2024 Six Nations tournament, succeeding France captain Antoine Dupont. He is the first Italian to receive this honor since fullback Andrea Masi in 2011. The club highlighted his complete skill set, noting his versatility to play center or wing, his consistency, physical power, and speed.

"I have finally joined Toulouse! I am very happy and satisfied, I can't wait to start this challenge and to meet you here at the stadium," the Italian expressed his excitement about the move. He will join a competitive center position at Toulouse, which includes French internationals Pierre-Louis Barassi and Kalvin Gourgues, Argentinians Santiago Chocobares and Juan Cruz Mallia, and Paul Costes. The club also noted the departures of Pita Akhi and Dimitri Delibes.
