Top BN leaders meet Negeri Sembilan election candidates

Top Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders convened with prospective candidates for the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state election. The meeting took place at Wisma UMNO Negeri Sembilan this morning, preceding the party's official launch of its election machinery and candidate announcement event scheduled for this evening.

BN Chairman Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is slated to reveal the list of candidates at the event, which will be held at the Parkir Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman in Paroi. Dr. Ahmad Zahid arrived at Wisma UMNO around 9:40 AM, followed by BN Deputy Chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

The closed-door meeting also included BN Secretary-General Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir and UMNO Secretary-General Datuk Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki. Despite the presence of key figures, the Chairman of the Negeri Sembilan UMNO Liaison Body, Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias, remained tight-lipped when questioned by reporters about the candidate lineup.

"Be patient, we will announce it tonight," Jalaluddin Alias told reporters, deferring the reveal to the evening's main event. The party's strategic move to keep the candidates under wraps until the official announcement aims to build anticipation and present a united front for the state polls.
