Top Chef for Altinget and Mandag Morgen Steps Down After Acquisition

Anne Marie Kindberg, the current CEO of the Danish political media houses Altinget and Mandag Morgen, will leave her position at the end of September. This departure comes just four months after the acquisition of the two outlets by JP/Politiken Business Media, a part of the larger JP/Politikens Hus media group.

The integration of Altinget and Mandag Morgen's leadership into JP/Politiken Business Media signifies a strategic restructuring following the May acquisition. "An acquisition also means changes. JP/Politiken Business Media has chosen a new organization, and I have full respect for that," Kindberg stated in a press release. She expressed pride in leaving the company in a strong position.

While Kindberg departs, Altinget and Mandag Morgen's editor-in-chief, Jakob Nielsen, and commercial director, Michael Thomsen, will transition into existing leadership roles within JP/Politiken Business Media. This move indicates a continued involvement of key personnel from the acquired companies within the new structure.

The changes reflect the ongoing consolidation and strategic realignments within the Danish media landscape following significant ownership shifts. The focus now shifts to how the integrated leadership will steer the future direction of Altinget and Mandag Morgen under the JP/Politikens Hus umbrella.
