Top Taichung Neurosurgeon Leaves Hospital, Joins Asia University Hospital

A prominent neurosurgeon, Dr. Li Weiyu, has departed from Taichung's Li General Hospital, a move that has stirred discussion and concern among his patients in the Haixian and Dajia areas.

Dr. Li, known for his expertise, announced on Facebook that he will be joining the Fengyuan branch of Asia University Hospital. His departure from Li General Hospital was reportedly due to a lack of consensus on contract renewal. Many patients expressed their sadness and support for Dr. Li on social media, with some even stating they would travel to Fengyuan to continue receiving his care.

In his social media post, Dr. Li shared a fortune stick reading from Zhenlan Temple, interpreting it as a sign of clarity and a bright future ahead. He expressed gratitude for the unwavering trust from his patients and the warm invitations from hospital presidents and friends, which he described as the "brightest moonlight illuminating the path forward."

Dr. Li also detailed his transition plan. While awaiting the completion of the Fengyuan branch, he will hold consultations at two other locations between September and December to ensure continuity of care for his patients. Li General Hospital stated that they respect Dr. Li's decision and wish him well in his new role.
