TOPEX Conference to Tackle Fiji's Business Challenges

Fiji's business leaders are set to gather later this year for the Top Executive Conference 2026, widely known as TOPEX, to confront some of the nation's most pressing economic challenges. The annual event will focus on critical issues such as escalating operating costs, persistent skills shortages within the workforce, and the ongoing struggle with low productivity.

Rowena Taito, the Chair of TOPEX, emphasized the conference's evolution beyond mere networking. The Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation, a key organizer, confirmed that this year's conference will concentrate on developing practical solutions to existing business challenges while simultaneously pinpointing new avenues for economic growth. "The key challenges of course is the high cost of doing business, the skills crisis, low productivity, constraints in trade, so these are the key ones," explained a representative. "But what this conference will do is not only look at the problems but look at unpacking it and also seeing what are the opportunities there and then moving forward with it."
