Tottenham sign Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City

Tottenham Hotspur has secured the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City, a move that propels the club's close-season spending beyond the $400 million mark under manager Roberto De Zerbi. The transfer was confirmed by both clubs on Monday, though financial details and contract length remain undisclosed. British media reported last week that the deal is worth 75 million pounds ($102.2 million), with an additional 10 million pounds ($13.63 million) in potential add-ons.

Savinho began his career at Atletico Mineiro before joining Troyes in 2022. His breakout season occurred during a loan spell at Girona, where he scored 11 goals in 41 appearances, helping the club achieve a third-place finish in La Liga and qualify for the Champions League. He moved to Manchester City in 2022 and has since made 84 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals. The 22-year-old has also earned 13 caps for Brazil.

The arrival of Savinho marks the latest addition to a busy transfer window for Spurs. The club has also signed midfielders Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, along with defenders Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Jan Paul van Hecke. With Savinho's transfer, Tottenham's total outlay reaches 322 million pounds ($438.9 million), including add-ons, as they aim to revamp the squad after finishing a disappointing 17th last season. Reports suggest Tottenham is also in talks for City's Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush.
