American rider Quinn Simons, dubbed "Captain America," was a prominent figure in the day's breakaway. He energized the crowds along the route with his aggressive tactics, particularly on the Col de la Croisette and heading towards the Plateau de Solaison. Lenny Martinez, the leader of the Bahrain Victorious team, also impressed with a strong final climb, finishing just 1 minute and 57 seconds behind Evenepoel. He remains in eighth place in the general classification, with fellow Frenchman Jordan Jegat in 10th, and Paul Seixas in 11th, making it three French riders in the top 10.

In the 'flops' category, Paul Seixas showed signs of fatigue after his efforts on the previous day. He struggled in the final ascent due to the high tempo set by Pogacar. Tom Pidcock was also active in the breakaway for the third consecutive day, showing impressive endurance but ultimately falling short of the leaders.
