Authorities in Balykchy, Kyrgyzstan, have launched an investigation following social media reports detailing the alleged mistreatment of a horse used for tourist transport. The incident occurred within a tourist complex.

According to social media posts, a small horse was reportedly made to pull a cart carrying five to six passengers for extended periods in hot weather, with little to no rest. The horse appeared visibly exhausted, prompting the user who shared the information to call for the complex's administration to address the animal's conditions.

The Balykchy Department of Internal Affairs has registered the information and initiated a preliminary inquiry. The police intend to identify the individuals providing the services, thoroughly inspect the horse's living and working conditions, and verify compliance with relevant legislation. A procedural decision will be made based on the findings of this investigation.
