"Toy Story 5" set for August 2026 release, Woody faces new challenge from electronic tablet

The beloved characters of "Toy Story" are returning to the big screen with "Toy Story 5," scheduled for release on August 6, 2026. The animated sequel promises to bring back Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and the rest of Andy's cherished toys, who are now in the care of a young girl named Bonnie.

The plot will see Woody stepping in to help his toy companions when Bonnie's focus shifts. Her attention is captured by a new electronic tablet, which appears to have "shady" intentions, posing a new challenge for the loyal toys.

The film is directed and written by Andrew Stanton, who has been a key creative force behind the "Toy Story" franchise. The voice cast includes original stars Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, alongside Joan Cusack, Greta Lee, Conan O’Brian, Tony Hale, Craig Robinson, Annie Potts, John Ratzenberg, Bonnie Hunt, Shelby Rabara, and Scarlett Spears.

"Toy Story 5" is rated suitable for all audiences and will have a runtime of 102 minutes. Showtimes are available in various cinemas across Paraguay, including Asunción, Lambaré, San Lorenzo, Mariano Roque Alonso, Itauguá, Encarnación, Coronel Oviedo, Ciudad del Este, and Pedro Juan Caballero.
