Toyota-By-CFAO Nigeria Unveils 2026 RAV4, Matching Global Launch

Toyota-By-CFAO Nigeria has introduced the 2026 Toyota RAV4, bringing the latest global model to the Nigerian market at the same time as international customers. This move signifies a major shift for Nigerian car buyers, who have historically faced delays or received older specifications compared to global markets.

"Nigerian customers are no longer waiting years behind global markets or settling for older specifications," said Boye Ajayi, Managing Director of Toyota-By-CFAO Nigeria. "They are receiving the same vehicle available internationally, at the same time, with full manufacturer support. That is the standard we are delivering."

The 2026 RAV4 is available in three variants: Active (2.0L, 2WD), Comfort (2.0L, 4x4), and Limited (2.0L, 4x4). All are powered by a 2.0-liter DOHC petrol engine delivering 172 horsepower and offer Sport, Normal, and Eco drive modes. The SUV is designed for practicality with a 481-liter boot, 201mm ground clearance, and a 55-liter fuel tank suitable for intercity travel.

Standard features across all variants include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, dual-zone climate control, LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a rearview camera, and keyless entry with a push-button start. The vehicle also incorporates modern conveniences like an electric parking brake and a MacPherson strut suspension for a comfortable ride. Safety is prioritized with a suite of active systems, including ABS, EBD, VSC, and hill-start assist, alongside standard airbags.
