Toyota GR Yaris Aero Performance Package Arrives in Mexico

Toyota is bringing a new evolution of its enthusiast-focused GR Yaris to Mexico with the launch of the Aero Performance Package 2027. This specialized version embodies the spirit of rally homologation, featuring a three-door body, all-wheel drive, and engineering honed by GAZOO Racing, making it a standout in an era dominated by SUVs and electrification.

The most significant update is the Aero Performance Package itself, meticulously developed by GAZOO Racing. This includes a revised front lip, an adjustable rear spoiler, optimized hood air intakes, new fenders, and underbody panels designed to refine airflow. These enhancements are not merely cosmetic; they are engineered to significantly increase stability and driver control at high speeds, a core philosophy of the GR Yaris since its inception.

Under the hood, the GR Yaris Aero Performance Package remains powered by the potent 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, delivering a robust 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This allows for a rapid 0-to-100 km/h acceleration in just 5.2 seconds, with a top speed of 230 km/h. Complementing the powertrain is the GR-FOUR all-wheel-drive system, offering selectable modes (Normal, Track, Gravel) to adjust torque distribution for various driving conditions.

The performance focus extends to the chassis, with adjustments to the GR suspension and reinforced damper mounting points. The underlying TNGA platform and independent suspension on both axles continue to provide a dynamic and engaging driving experience. Inside, the cockpit features a 12.3-inch multi-information display and a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Safety is addressed through Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 and six airbags. The Toyota GR Yaris Aero Performance Package 2027 is available in Mexico for 898,200 pesos.
