Toyota offers upgraded RAV4 lighting package, bringing advanced technology to entry-level models

Toyota is giving entry-level RAV4 Adventure owners in Japan a way to make their vehicles look more like the range-topping Z model while adding more sophisticated nighttime lighting technology.

Toyota Upgrade Factory, the automaker’s after-sales upgrade service, has introduced an LED headlight package for sixth-generation RAV4 Adventure and GR Sport vehicles built after December 2025. The offer is aimed at extending the appeal of the heavily popularized redesigned RAV4.

For the entry-level Adventure, the upgrade replaces the original headlights with the same LED units fitted to the top-grade Z. The daytime running lights and turn signals adopt two horizontal strips, giving the front end a more technological appearance. The package also adds AHS intelligent high beams, which adjust the range of the high-beam projection and block light from vehicles detected ahead or approaching from the opposite direction.

The system is designed to improve nighttime visibility without disturbing other drivers. GR Sport vehicles already use the same LED headlight assembly as the Z, so their upgrade focuses on adding the AHS function. Toyota lists the price at 193,600 yen for Adventure and 116,600 yen for GR Sport, or approximately NT$39,000 and NT$23,000 respectively.
