Tractor driver (62) dies in accident during tractor gathering in Voeren

A tractor gathering event in 's-Gravenvoeren, Voeren, turned tragic when a 62-year-old man lost his life in an accident. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in Schophemerhei as approximately 50 tractors prepared for a tourist ride.

According to initial reports, one tractor overturned on a bend for reasons yet to be determined. Emergency services arrived promptly and attempted to resuscitate the driver for an extended period, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Limburg prosecutor's office has been notified and has appointed a traffic expert to investigate the precise circumstances and cause of the accident.
