Traffic Restrictions on Sun Motorway Thursday; Detours Available

Drivers heading towards the coast or connecting to nearby cities should be aware of significant traffic disruptions on the Sun Motorway (A2) this Thursday. The National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) has announced that a 9-hour closure will be in effect at the Drajna Interchange, impacting both entry and exit ramps. This necessary measure is due to essential repairs on the road surface, aiming to ensure the continued safety and integrity of this vital transport artery.

CNAIR has helpfully provided detailed alternative routes for affected motorists. Those traveling between Bucharest and Călărași, or Bucharest and Slobozia, can utilize DN3 and DN3A. For those heading towards Constanța from Slobozia or Călărași, the suggested detour involves DN21, DN3A, DN3B, and the Fetești Interchange before rejoining the A2. The authorities urge drivers to adhere strictly to the temporary traffic signals and posted speed limits within the work zone to maintain safety and facilitate the repair process.
