Tragedy in Paros: How a 4-Year-Old Drowned in a Pool - Safety Measures Under Scrutiny

A tragic incident occurred on the Greek island of Paros when a 4-year-old boy drowned in the swimming pool of a beach bar on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Despite desperate efforts by bystanders and rescuers, the child could not be saved.

According to initial reports, the child had wandered away from his parents, who were at the same beach bar but did not have direct visual contact with him.
