Tram lines in Zagreb to run on new routes this weekend due to construction

Several tram lines in Zagreb will undergo temporary route changes this weekend as part of ongoing infrastructure work. Tram lines 4, 5, 14, and 17 will operate on modified routes from Friday, July 24th, at 8 PM until Monday morning, July 27th, when trams resume their regular schedules.

These adjustments are being made to accommodate the temporary opening of the southern tram track in Ulica grada Vukovara for traffic. This measure allows for continued tram service while work progresses on other sections of the intersection.

Specific route details for the affected lines are as follows: Line 4 will run its regular route towards Savski most but will use Ulica grada Vukovara, Držićeva, Branimirova, and Vlaška towards Dubec. Line 5 will operate between Prečko and Savski most. Line 14 will travel from Zapruđe via Jadranski most, Savska, Ulica grada Vukovara, Držićeva, and Glavni kolodvor, then proceed through Vodnikova, Frankopanska, Trg bana Josipa Jelačića, and Draškovićeva to Mihaljevac, returning on its regular route towards Zapruđe. Line 17 will run from Prečko via Savska, Ulica grada Vukovara, Držić, Branimirova, Ulica kneza Mislava, and Trg žrtava fašizma to Trg bana Josipa Jelačića, then via Frankopanska and Savska back to Prečko.

Due to construction on another part of the intersection, Savska cesta will be closed to trams heading towards Trg bana Jelačića between Ulica grada Vukovara and Tratinska (near Cibona). Consequently, the Zagrepčanka tram stop within the construction zone will not be operational during this period.
