In a pioneering move for the Barishal City Corporation (BCC), Maidul Islam Abhi, a transgender individual, has been appointed to a temporary role within the civic body. BCC Administrator Bilkis Akter Jahan Shirin presented Abhi with his appointment letter, signaling a significant step towards workplace inclusion and combating discrimination.
