Traveling this Saturday? ABC reports restrictions and detours on seven road sections

People planning to travel by road in Bolivia this Saturday face restrictions and detours on at least seven sections of the country’s main road network. The Bolivian Highway Administrator, known as ABC, issued the warning in its 07:00 trafficability report.

Two affected points are in Santa Cruz. The San Lorenzo-Salinas section has a restriction because of flooding. The measure applies to medium and heavy vehicles, while light vehicles are advised to proceed with caution. A second restriction affects the Bermejo-Angostura route in the Petacas area, where roadwork has led to specific travel hours.

In Pando, the kilometer 185-La Floresta section remains open but has detours because of construction. ABC urged drivers to use the authorized crossings carefully. In Tarija, the La Central-San Antonio route in Villamontes has temporary closures from Monday to Saturday. This Saturday, vehicles face restrictions from 07:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00.

Drivers will also encounter detours on the Puente Lagirmas-Puente Sacta route in Cochabamba, where crews are working on a bridge. In Chuquisaca, a vehicle cutoff affects the Taperillas section toward the Santa Cruz border because of work in the Muela del Diablo area of Muyupampa. ABC also advised caution there.

La Paz has two additional restricted sections. The Puente Chaco-Puente Villa route is restricted from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 13:30 to 18:00 Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, restrictions run from 08:00 to 13:30. The Unduavi-Puente Chaco route, at the Yerbani Tres Marías section, is restricted from 07:00 to 11:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00. ABC said its digital trafficability system is updated continuously and also provided WhatsApp number 71219232 for inquiries.
