Troops ambush Lakurawa terrorists in Kebbi, recover items

Nigerian troops successfully intercepted and ambushed the Lakurawa Terrorist Group (LTG) as they were en route to attack Dandi Local Government Area in Kebbi State. The operation, part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, saw soldiers acting on credible intelligence to deploy a tactical ambush at a known crossing point near Uguwan Hassan village.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Olayinka Osoba, the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, the troops engaged the terrorists with superior firepower. Overwhelmed by the military's response, the militants were forced to abandon their mission and flee in disarray. This engagement highlights the military's intensified crackdown on armed groups operating in Nigeria's northwest region.
