Tropical Wave to Bring Showers and Thunderstorms to Western Jamaica

Jamaica's Meteorological Service is forecasting isolated showers and thunderstorms across the western parishes and hilly areas on Saturday. This weather pattern is attributed to a tropical wave that is expected to move westward and away from the island by Friday night, followed by a weak trough.

However, the weather system is not expected to bring prolonged dry conditions. Another tropical wave is projected to move across Jamaica by Sunday evening, bringing with it the likelihood of isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the southwestern parishes and hilly regions. Similar conditions are anticipated for Monday.

The outlook for Tuesday suggests a continuation of unsettled weather, with cloudy afternoons expected across most parishes. These conditions are likely to be accompanied by showers and thunderstorms, indicating a period of active weather for the island.
