Truck trailer gets stuck on pedestrian overpass in Yozgat

A truck trailer became suspended on a pedestrian overpass in Yozgat, Turkey, after its open damper caught on the structure. The incident occurred on Saturday evening around 6:00 PM on Atatürk Road, which connects Yozgat and Kayseri, near the Küçük Sanayi Sitesi area.

The truck, driven by A.D. and with license plate 66 ABP 419, was traveling from the Küçük Sanayi Sitesi towards the city center when its open damper snagged on the pedestrian overpass. The impact left the trailer hanging precariously on the overpass, while the truck itself came to a stop about 50 meters further down the road.

Emergency services, including police and highway teams, were dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. A crane was brought in to carefully lift the trailer off the overpass. The operation took approximately two hours to complete.

Following the removal of the trailer and the clearing of the roadway, the Yozgat-Kayseri connection on Atatürk Road was reopened to traffic. The incident caused a temporary disruption but was resolved without casualties.
