Trump Administration Seeks $87.6 Billion from Congress, Largely for Iran Conflict

The Trump administration has formally asked Congress for an additional $87.6 billion, with a significant portion designated for ongoing military operations related to the conflict with Iran. Of the total sum, $67.15 billion is allocated for the military. The White House specified that $21 billion of this amount is intended for the procurement of ammunition and bolstering the defense industrial base. Beyond military funding, the request also addresses critical global health and humanitarian needs. The U.S. government is seeking $500 million for worldwide health security initiatives and $800 million for international humanitarian aid.
