Trump highlighted the positive market response to ongoing diplomatic efforts, noting that oil prices have fallen sharply while stock markets have risen. He thanked all parties for their attention to the issue and reiterated the United States' commitment to pursuing peace in the region. The former president urged all involved to allow the ongoing negotiations to develop favorably.

This call for a ceasefire comes amidst ongoing tensions and exchanges of fire between Israel and Hezbollah. The Israeli military reported intercepting several rockets launched from Lebanon, subsequently targeting the rocket launch systems. Since early March, the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon has resulted in approximately 3,900 deaths and 11,800 injuries, according to official figures.
