Trump Cites Progress in Iran Talks, Delays Decision on Airstrikes

Washington D.C. – President Donald Trump announced Friday that a decision on launching large-scale airstrikes against Iran has not yet been made, suggesting that diplomatic channels are showing signs of progress. Trump indicated that Iranian leadership is becoming "more and more serious" in negotiations aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict.

His remarks came amid reports of a high-level meeting held Friday morning where the President and his top advisors discussed potential large-scale military operations in Iran. When questioned by reporters about a definitive decision, Trump responded, "No, I have not made any decision." He added, "We are actually talking to them right now."

Trump suggested that Iran's increased seriousness in talks might stem from the potential consequences of failing to reach an agreement. He warned that Iran faces "a much worse" outcome if a deal is not struck, especially after nearly two weeks of escalating daily attacks that have disrupted a previous truce. "We are ready, prepared to go, but we are talking to them, so as long as we are talking... We'll see what comes out of that. I think (...) they are very serious. And they should be!" the President stated.
