Trump: Nuclear Iran could have destroyed Middle East; US talks with Tehran ongoing

President Donald Trump warned Friday that a nuclear-armed Iran could have presented an existential threat to the Middle East, stating that without nuclear weapons, "there might not be a Middle East today." He confirmed that Washington is engaged in talks with Tehran but has not yet decided on launching major new strikes.

Speaking to reporters, Trump indicated that while discussions are underway, the U.S. has the option of continuing military operations incrementally or escalating the campaign. "We're talking to them right now," Trump said when asked about the possibility of major strikes, adding, "While we're talking, we'll see what comes in."
