Trump Offers Iran Two Options: Deal or Severe Attack

U.S. President Donald Trump outlined two stark choices for Iran during an economic-themed event in Las Vegas, Nevada: strike a deal or face a significant military response. "I would prefer to make a deal with them because I don't want to kill people," Trump stated, emphasizing his aversion to conflict while vowing to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Trump revealed that the U.S. had been on the verge of launching "the biggest attack since World War II" but halted the operation. This decision came after receiving calls from Gulf leaders and Iranian officials who pleaded for dialogue to avert the strike. "They called me and said please don't do this, let's talk. We are talking right now," Trump recounted, adding that Iran was now showing them respect. However, he warned that if negotiations fail, Iran would be "hit hard."

Shifting focus to domestic policy, Trump asserted that his administration had successfully halted illegal immigration shortly after he took office. "In 30 days, I stopped millions and millions of people from invading our country," he claimed, alleging that 25 million individuals were attempting to enter the U.S. via the southern border. Trump further asserted that no undocumented immigrants had entered the country in the last 15 months and that his administration was working to eliminate "the menace of immigrant crime."

He referenced recent events in Spain, where he said over 60,000 migrants stormed the border, occupied a town, attacked citizens, and engaged in looting. Trump equated this scenario with what "communists want for America." He concluded by defending the actions of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), stating, "We will always stand by our law enforcement."
