Trump offers Nepal 'any help' after devastating flood

U.S. President Donald Trump pledged "any help" to Nepal after a devastating flood swept through the country, killing at least 469 people and leaving hundreds missing.

Trump described the disaster as "terrible" and stated that the United States had contacted Nepal's leadership to offer "anything they want." The U.S. has also committed to sending aid.

Search and rescue teams are actively working in flood-hit valleys and along riverbanks. The U.S. State Department reported it was tracking 90 Americans who remained unaccounted for following the flood. Three Americans have been rescued, and no U.S. fatalities have been reported.

The flood, which struck northern Nepal, unleashed a powerful surge of water and debris, destroying homes, bridges, and roads. Large numbers of tourists and trekkers are among those missing, with the Nepal Tourism Board reporting hundreds of tourists and travelers unaccounted for in affected areas. The Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force are engaged in extensive search, rescue, and evacuation efforts, utilizing helicopters to reach isolated areas.
