Trump on Iran: 'They Want to Make a Deal, But They Are Not Ready Yet, They Will Be Soon'

U.S. President Donald Trump addressed Iran during a meeting with Republican voters in Georgia, expressing condolences for four American soldiers who recently died in conflict with the nation. "Today, we received the bodies of our 4 heroes who lost their lives in conflict with Iran," Trump stated.

Trump assessed that "Iranians want to make a deal, but they are not ready yet, they will be ready soon." He shared that he had brought the family of one of the deceased soldiers with him on Air Force One to Georgia, expressing solidarity with their grief.

Turning to the tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump remarked, "We don't need the Strait of Hormuz, but we have to do what we have to do. We cannot allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons." This statement underscores the U.S. administration's firm stance on preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities.

During his remarks, Trump also touched upon domestic politics, criticizing Democrats over their stances on social issues. "They also allowed men to play in women's sports, so that your children get injured by 'transsexuals'. Transsexuality was for everyone; men and women's sports ravaged our cities, and the whole world was laughing at us. We were a joke all over the world, but they are not laughing at us anymore," he said, referencing his views on gender identity in sports.
