Trump remembers Lindsey Graham as 'hard nut' at funeral

Donald Trump paid tribute to the late Senator Lindsey Graham at his funeral service in Washington National Cathedral, remembering him as a "hard nut to crack" and a significant political figure. Trump highlighted Graham's extensive influence on legislation, stating that "nothing of consequence could happen anywhere in the world without Lindsey Graham having an opinion on it." He also noted Graham's broad appeal, humorously adding, "Okay, not everyone, but it sounds good. Not everyone."

Graham, 71, died suddenly on July 11 from a cardiovascular disease. He was a prominent figure in the Republican Party, particularly in defense and international affairs. Although he initially condemned Trump, Graham later became one of the president's most loyal supporters. He was also a strong advocate for Ukraine and Israel, having visited Ukraine shortly before his death.

The funeral service was attended by numerous high-ranking U.S. politicians, as well as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu. Prior to the ceremony, Trump held closed-door meetings with Zelenskyy and Netanyahu, which the White House described as positive.
