Trump's AI Video Mocks Hollywood Critics, Offers 'Cure' for 'Trump Derangement Syndrome'

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again stirred controversy with an artificial intelligence-generated video targeting prominent Hollywood figures who have criticized him. The minute-and-a-half clip, published on his social media platform Truth Social ahead of the July 4th holiday, features Trump in a doctor's persona.

In the video, he offers a supposed "treatment" for the "Trump Derangement Syndrome" (TDS), a term his supporters use to mock his detractors. The video mimics a pharmaceutical advertisement, showcasing AI-created versions of actors such as Julia Roberts, Edward Norton, and Robert De Niro. These digital avatars describe their supposed "symptoms," including insomnia, loss of appetite, and constant anger.

The video also includes AI renditions of critics like Rosie O'Donnell, John Leguizamo, and Whoopi Goldberg. Trump's "cure" involves ceasing to consume "fake news," praying, and, for anxiety, simply drinking a Diet Coke. Trump has previously referred to TDS as a genuine ailment, even suggesting in May that it was "actually a disease."

The concept of TDS resurfaced in December after the deaths of filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, in Los Angeles. Trump commented that Reiner had "supposedly died due to the anger he provoked in others" because of his "incurable" TDS, a remark that drew significant criticism for its insensitivity toward a tragedy. The new video features an AI O'Donnell stating she has suffered for over a decade but sees results after listening to "Doctor Trump."
