Trump's former spokesperson Karoline Leavitt to join MAGA Inc. political group

Karoline Leavitt, the White House spokesperson, is leaving her post to join MAGA Inc., a political action committee supporting Donald Trump. Leavitt, the youngest person to hold the press secretary role, will transition to the organization at the end of the month.

MAGA Inc. is a "super PAC," a type of organization that influences elections, particularly through advertising, without direct ties to specific candidates, though they can raise unlimited funds. These groups play a significant role in American politics.

Leavitt informed journalists accompanying Trump in South Carolina that she would join the president at a Republican convention in Dallas in early September, ahead of the November midterm elections. She had previously worked for MAGA Inc. between 2022 and 2024 before joining Trump's campaign team.

When asked about his successor, Trump stated he had received numerous applications for the position. He also commented positively on strategist Scott Jennings and mentioned an aide, Margo Martin. Leavitt, who recently had her second child, announced her departure on August 12, citing a desire to dedicate more time to her family.
