Trump Says Deal to End Iran War May Be Imminent, Agrees to 'Cancel the Attack'

President Trump announced on Saturday that the United States has agreed to "cancel the attack" on Iran, signaling that a peace deal to end the ongoing war could be imminent. The decision came after Iran and other Middle Eastern countries requested a pause in military action.

He added that the proposed agreement "would include the Immediate, Complete, and Total OPENING OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT, and an end to Iran's nuclear threat." The President indicated his agreement to cancel the planned offensive, contingent on the rapid finalization of a deal, stating, "I have agreed, for the future benefit of the WORLD and, likewise, the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, to cancel the attack, subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL."

Notably, the Country of Israel has joined the U.S. in this commitment. This development follows reports that the U.S. and Israel had been preparing for one of the most extensive bombing campaigns to date, targeting energy infrastructure within Iran, with strikes potentially occurring throughout the weekend. Earlier on Saturday, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had spoken with President Trump, reportedly cautioning him against initiating further strikes on Iran.
