Trump says he and Kim Jong Un get along well, shares photo

U.S. President Donald Trump shared a photograph with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, accompanied by a statement asserting their positive personal relationship. Trump posted the image on social media, noting that despite the "unfriendly look" captured in the specific photo, they have "many photos where we are smiling" and that "Kim Jong Un and I are getting along very well."

The former president's post references their past interactions, including a significant moment in June 2019. Following the G-20 Summit in Osaka, Japan, Trump made an official visit to South Korea. He then met Kim Jong Un at the demilitarized zone (DMZ) separating the two Koreas.

During this encounter, Trump took approximately 20 steps across the border line, becoming the first sitting U.S. president to set foot in North Korea. This symbolic gesture underscored the unique and often unconventional nature of their diplomatic engagement.
