Trump says US will strike Iran's Pickaxe Mountain 'probably pretty soon'

President Donald Trump declared on Tuesday that the United States will likely strike Iran's Pickaxe Mountain nuclear site "pretty soon." This statement comes amid reports that Iran has relocated nuclear centrifuges and potentially enriched uranium to the secretive underground facility.

Trump made these remarks during a meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. He downplayed the significance of the reports, stating they had not been confirmed and that Iran lacks the enriched uranium stockpiles needed for a bomb. The US claims that Iran's nuclear material is buried deep underground, inaccessible after US strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites last year. Trump insisted the US is monitoring these locations to prevent any retrieval of materials.

There are also beliefs that Iran transferred some of its highly enriched uranium to Pickaxe Mountain after the 2025 Israel-Iran war.
