President Donald Trump embarked on his first flight aboard a new, luxurious Air Force One, a Boeing 747-8 gifted to the U.S. by Qatar. The $400 million aircraft, which took off Wednesday morning for a trip to North Dakota, has sparked significant controversy in the United States, raising concerns about legal, ethical, and national security implications. Trump, however, expressed his enthusiasm for the plane, describing it as a one-of-a-kind aircraft that the U.S. could not have built itself due to prohibitive costs. He noted that the Qataris spent vast sums on the plane. The new Air Force One features a white, red, and dark blue color scheme, reminiscent of Trump's personal aircraft. It is equipped with all necessary security systems and specifications required for transporting a U.S. president, including leather seats that convert to beds, seatbelts with the presidential seal, beige wall and floor coverings, and gold accents. This aircraft will temporarily replace the modified Boeing 747-200 used since 1990, while two new Boeing 747-800s are being converted into the permanent presidential aircraft, expected in about two years. The plane was officially presented last month, with Trump calling it 'the most luxurious plane in the world.'
