Trump Tells Iranians: Deal or Total Surrender Amid Blockade

President Donald Trump issued an angry social media post Monday, stating the U.S. military blockade on Iran will persist until either a "Deal, or Total surrender" is achieved. This declaration came after Iran denied engaging in negotiations with the United States.

Trump labeled Iran as "duplicitous" for publicly stating it was not negotiating, while asserting that the U.S. was indeed discussing a resolution to decades-old problems caused by Iran. His remarks on Truth Social followed Iran's foreign ministry statement that it was only holding talks with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy trade route.

Whether Iran wants to admit it or not, we are, in fact, talking of a solution to a problem that they have caused, for decades.

Iran's foreign ministry stated on Monday that its discussions with Oman concerned plans for shared control over the Strait of Hormuz. Trump, however, insisted that Iran had sought talks, even "begged" for them, but was now resorting to its "usual blather" about controlling the strait.

He emphasized that the U.S. Navy completely controls the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as the "United States Wall of Steel." Trump asserted that nothing would pass through to Iran unless a deal or total surrender was accomplished, reiterating his administration's stance on the ongoing standoff.
