However, he stated that he "immediately" rescinded the cancellation order and waited for people to return. "Incredibly, at least 150,000 people came back, and it was an even more spectacular night than it would have been under normal circumstances," Trump wrote, praising the officers' "ability to work under pressure."

The president specifically commended the Secret Service and law enforcement for their swift actions in allowing attendees to re-enter the venue after a two-hour suspension. He noted that the fireworks display concluded just before heavy rain began, adding to the dramatic atmosphere of the evening.
