Trump Threatens to Completely Decimate Iran Over Assassination Plot

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, threatening "complete decimation" of the country should it pursue or succeed in any assassination attempt against him or other U.S. officials. The escalating rhetoric dramatically heightens tensions between Washington and Tehran, despite ongoing diplomatic overtures.

He asserted that orders have been given for the U.S. military to be prepared to "completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran" for at least a year, subject to extension.

Iran, through its Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, rejected Trump's claims, asserting Tehran's commitment to a memorandum of understanding signed last month. Araghchi accused the U.S. of violating its own commitments, particularly regarding new sanctions and troop deployments in the region.
