Trump unveils luxury presidential jet gifted by Qatar, calls it 'my taste'

Donald Trump, the former U.S. president, has revealed a newly customized presidential aircraft, a gift from Qatar. The plane, which Trump has dubbed a "flying White House," boasts a striking new paint scheme of navy blue with red stripes, a departure from the traditional blue exterior.

During a presentation at Andrews Air Force Base, Trump expressed his satisfaction with the design, stating, "I would say that the color and design of the new aircraft is my taste." He highlighted the aircraft's luxurious interior and emphasized its importance for national representation.

Trump announced his intention to use the new aircraft for upcoming international engagements, including the NATO summit in Turkey and the APEC summit in China. He noted that his recent trip to the G7 summit in France was his last on the older presidential plane.

He also recalled requesting the plane from the Emir of Qatar after the original replacement aircraft, scheduled for 2028, faced delays. Trump asserted that while "an ordinary president" might avoid such aircraft, the nation must be "properly represented."
