Trump Vows 'Multiple Times' Retaliation Against Iran for Soldier Deaths

President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, vowing to inflict disproportionately severe retaliation for any further attacks that result in the death of American soldiers. The former president declared on his social media platform, Truth Social, that Iran would pay "multiple times" for each U.S. service member killed.

Trump specified that this directive has been communicated to key military leaders, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, and all military commanders. This firm stance follows a recent spate of casualties among U.S. forces in the Middle East.

According to reports, 17 U.S. service members have been confirmed dead since the conflict involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran began. Notably, two U.S. soldiers were killed in Jordan on July 17 due to an Iranian missile and drone attack. An additional service member died on July 18 in Iraq while handling an unexploded Iranian drone. CNN has indicated that the death toll could potentially rise as military authorities continue to investigate unidentified remains from the Jordan site.
