Trump warns Iran will be held responsible for Houthi Red Sea attacks

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning, declaring that Iran will face consequences for any subsequent attacks by the Houthis on commercial shipping in the Red Sea. Trump asserted on social media that the Houthi group, which he identified as an "Iranian proxy," would have its actions against U.S. allies in the Gulf considered as direct Iranian attacks.

These incidents occurred shortly after the Iran-aligned group imposed a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia and threatened to open a new front in the Middle East conflict. The Houthis' actions are linked to an attack on Sanaa International Airport, which they attribute to Saudi Arabia, though the UN-recognized Yemeni government claims responsibility.
