These tactical adjustments aim to bolster England's defensive solidity following their opening 4-2 victory over Croatia. Despite Marcus Rashford's impactful substitute appearance against Croatia, Tuchel has again placed his faith in Anthony Gordon to start in the attacking third, leaving Rashford among the reserves.

Ghana's coach, Carlos Queiroz, has included forward Iñaki Williams in his starting lineup for his World Cup debut, after he missed their opening game against Panama. The Ghanaian team also features Thomas Partey, who faced entry issues into Canada last week.
