Tunisia: Major Public Projects Revived, Priority Given to Sidi Bou Saïd and University Infrastructure

A high-level commission, chaired by the Head of Government Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri, has prioritized initiatives crucial for both national heritage and the future of its youth.

The protection of the iconic Sidi Bou Saïd plateau against landslides has been declared a national priority. The decision to allocate the project to a multidisciplinary study bureau signifies a serious approach to addressing the geological and hydrological complexities of the site. This move is not only about safeguarding residents and their property but also about preserving a vital cultural and tourist landmark, aligning with presidential directives to seek UNESCO World Heritage status.
