Turkey: 90 Wanted Criminals Returned to Country After Red Notice Operations

Turkey's Interior Ministry has announced the successful repatriation of 90 individuals wanted internationally, including those subject to red notices. The operation, a significant effort in combating cross-border crime, saw the return of fugitives from numerous countries.

The ministry detailed that the apprehended individuals were brought back to Turkey from various locations. Among the 90, 58 were extradited from Georgia, 12 from Germany, and three each from Bulgaria and Greece. Other countries contributing to the repatriation include the Netherlands (2), the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (2), Austria, Belarus, England, Italy, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, North Macedonia, Moldova, Thailand, and Ukraine.

This operation was a collaborative effort involving the General Directorate of Security's Interpol-Europol Department, the Ministry of Justice, and various other directorates focused on combating organized crime, intelligence, narcotics, cybercrime, public order, and counter-terrorism. The meticulous tracking and apprehension of these individuals underscore Turkey's commitment to pursuing criminals regardless of their location.

The EGM Interpol-Europol Department, Ministry of Justice officials, KOM, Intelligence and Anti-Narcotics Crime Prevention Directorates, Cyber, Public Order, and TEM Directorates meticulously tracked individuals who fled abroad and for whom arrest warrants were issued. Individuals wanted at the international level with a red notice, such as S.D., K.A., A.A., U.A., K.G., B.K., S.C., B.F., U.Y., M.Ç., M.A., Ş.Ş., L.P., C.K., A.S., O.A., A.A.K., A.A.M., S.G., M.F., A.D., A.Ö., B.K., M.M., N.İ., R.A., T.E.O., A.Ç., S.Ö., M.O., N.Ç., N.D., R.B., O.G., İ.Ç., C.Y., H.R., U.A., M.T., B.T., E.L. and N.İ., as well as 48 individuals wanted at the national level, were apprehended and their return to our country was ensured.
