Turkey: Pensioners Await Retroactive Payment of July Increase

Millions of pensioners in Turkey are eagerly anticipating the disbursement of retroactive payments stemming from July's pension increases. These supplementary payments, totaling 3,552 Turkish Lira, are a significant point of interest for retirees across the country.

The Turkish government has confirmed that the outstanding pension adjustment differences for both SSK (Social Insurance Institution) and Bağ-Kur (Self-Employment Insurance) beneficiaries will be deposited into their accounts during the first week of August. This addresses a key concern for many who rely on these pensions for their livelihood.

For SSK pensioners, the payment schedule is meticulously organized based on the final digit of their pension allocation number. Those whose allocation number ends in 9 will receive their payment on July 17, with subsequent dates extending to July 26 for those whose number ends in 0. This staggered approach aims to manage the distribution process efficiently.

Bağ-Kur pensioners, on the other hand, will see their increased pension payments credited to their accounts between July 25 and July 28. This timeframe ensures that all eligible Bağ-Kur recipients receive their due adjustments within a concentrated period.
