Turkey to Hold Academy Entrance and Teaching Proficiency Exams Sunday

Turkey is set to administer two significant educational exams this Sunday, July 26: the Ministry of National Education Academy Entrance Exam (MEB-AGS) and the Teaching Proficiency Test (ÖABT).

Applications for these exams were accepted from May 8 to May 20. The MEB-AGS will be conducted in two sessions, with the first beginning at 10:15 AM. This session will feature 80 multiple-choice questions, and candidates will have 110 minutes to complete it, with an additional 30 minutes available for those requiring extra time. The second session, ÖABT, starts at 2:45 PM, offering 50 multiple-choice questions and either 90 or 70 minutes for completion, depending on the specific field, with an extra 20 minutes for eligible candidates.

Exam centers will be established in all 81 provinces of Turkey, as well as in Lefkosa, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, totaling 103 examination sites. Special provisions are being made for candidates, including the operation of provincial and district population directorates on exam day for those who have lost their ID cards or lack proper identification.

ÖSYM President Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy announced that 391,906 candidates applied for the MEB-AGS. The exam will utilize 1,031 buildings and 17,092 halls. Accommodations have been prepared for 1,561 disabled candidates, with preparations tailored to their specific needs. Furthermore, 1,616 candidates, including veterans and the children or spouses of martyrs and veterans, were exempted from exam fees. Thirty inmates will also participate in the MEB-AGS, using 20 designated buildings within correctional facilities. Candidates can access their exam entry documents online via ÖSYM's "ais.osym.gov.tr" website. The results for the MEB-AGS are scheduled to be announced on August 26 and will remain valid until the announcement of the next exam's results.
