Turkey weather forecast for June 3, 2026: Showers expected in several regions

Turkey's General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has issued its weather forecast for June 3, 2026, predicting partly cloudy to very cloudy conditions nationwide. The forecast indicates a chance of localized showers and thunderstorms in several regions.

Specifically, the eastern parts of Thrace, the inner Aegean, inner Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, inner Black Sea, northern and western Eastern Anatolia, and northern Southeastern Anatolia are expected to experience scattered rain and thunderstorms. The MGM warns that precipitation could be locally heavy in the northeastern parts of Central Anatolia, central Black Sea, and around Kastamonu.

Regarding temperatures, the forecast suggests no significant changes. Inland areas of the country are expected to experience temperatures around seasonal norms, while other regions will see temperatures 2-4 degrees Celsius above average. Winds are predicted to be generally light and occasionally moderate, blowing from the south.

The MGM has issued a strong rainfall warning for the northeastern Central Anatolia, central Black Sea, and Kastamonu regions. Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious and take necessary precautions against potential adverse effects from the expected heavy downpours and thunderstorms.
