Turkey Weather: Partly Cloudy Skies with Scattered Showers and Above-Average Temperatures Expected

Turkey's General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has issued its weather forecast for June 25, 2026, indicating a day of mixed conditions across the country.

Nationwide, skies are expected to be partly cloudy. However, localized showers and thunderstorms are anticipated in several areas. These include the Toroslar region of the Mediterranean, the inner and higher elevations of the Central and Eastern Black Sea regions, northeastern Anatolia, and the provinces of Edirne and Kırklareli. The eastern parts of Van province are also expected to experience these localized weather events.

Temperatures across Turkey are generally predicted to remain above seasonal averages, ranging from 1 to 3 degrees Celsius higher than normal.

Regional forecasts show that the Marmara region will be mostly clear with some clouds developing later in the day, particularly in Edirne and Kırklareli, where afternoon showers are possible. The Aegean region is expected to remain clear and sunny. In the Mediterranean region, while mostly clear, the Toroslar area may see afternoon thunderstorms. Central Anatolia and the Black Sea regions will experience partly cloudy skies, with the eastern Black Sea's higher altitudes expecting some rain.

Eastern Anatolia will be partly cloudy, with the northeastern parts and eastern Van province forecast to receive local showers and thunderstorms. The Southeastern Anatolia region is expected to remain clear and sunny.
